In 2019, the World Bank Group reported that the national poverty rate in the Dominican Republic was 21% as 50% of the population earns less than $20,700 RD (or $365.40 US) per month. The rates below (in US dollars) were also reported as minimum and living wages.

$2.83 per hour$497.34 per month$5,968 per year
$0.84 per hour$147.95 per month$1,775 per year

With your help we can continue to employ a team of 32 and offer salaries above the national minimum wage.  But minimum wage doesn’t help us disrupt the cycle of poverty, so we aim to provide a living wage for all of our employees, helping to bring more of our communities population above the poverty line.
