Claudia joined our team of teachers at Hope Academy this fall as a morning Kindergarten teacher and our Abeka Curriculum Coordinator. In her role she is honored that she is able to serve God by serving the kids and the teachers simultaneously.

She has wanted to be a teacher since she was young. She says, “I love teaching as much as I love breathing. When I teach I feel like I’m doing what God wants me to do.”

She shared that it has been gratifying to see how in a short time there has been so much growth in the school thanks to the teamwork. “We have seen the hand of God at work and in each of the steps that have been taken. To observe how each of the team members has walked the extra mile. I have gone to different places with my uniform and immediately people begin to ask and say they have heard very good references about the school.”

Her niece and her daughter both attend Hope Academy and receive a scholarship through our sponsorship program. When we asked how the sponsorship program has impacted their family she said, “Giving your children a good education when you do not have enough resources is, without a doubt, a huge challenge. Thanks to the collaboration of Hope Academy, this burden has been more bearable. My family and I feel confident and happy that our girls are receiving a quality and, above all, biblically principled education”

Her dream for her girls is that as they grow up their main focus in life is to serve God and that they always walk in the light of His Word. “I know that if I achieve this goal, all the rest that I wish for them will be simple additions. I want their emotional health to be so strong that they can overcome any obstacle that comes their way.”

Teachers like Claudia are empowering our students with not only an education but also a foundation for a strong Faith and relationship with Christ.
