Based in Bavaro, Dominican Republic



The purpose of this rule is to direct and lead the internal structure of 2 nd Mile Missions in the DR. There
are three distinct programs that require oversight: Vida Plena, 2nd Mile DR, and the education
programs/schools. This position would ensure that the goals and objectives of each area are met.



  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christlike attitude in dealing with people within and outside of 2nd Mile Missions, and faithfully upholds the ministry in prayer.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably a degree in Operations Management or related field
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • At least 5 years working in ministry related field
  • Ability to motivate, develop and lead people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • Cultural competency to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently, be flexible and manage multiple priorities
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment and maintain harmonious relationships
  • Proficient computer skills, especially using Microsoft Suite and Google Suite of applications
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Must be able to drive a car and have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have strong decision making, problem sulving, organizational and leadership skills



 Vida Plena:

  • Direct and lead both the business and ministry side of Vida Plena alongside the Vida Plena operations director including budgets, goals, and staff
  • Establish goals that promote growth
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Vida Plena team to accomplish ministry and business long term objectives
  • Hold the team accountable to reasonable and achievable goals


Office Management in the DR:

  • Provide daily guidance and oversight to the 2 nd Mile Missions DR staff
  • Create and manage 2 nd Mile Missions budget in the DR
  • Manage all HR related issues
  • Manage progress of existing individual programs (reading programs, sponsorship, counseling) and establish goals and reviews for each employee responsible for those programs
  • Hire, train and evaluate program staff when needed



  • Provide direction, guidance and oversight to the school in Monte Verde including budgets, sponsorship, and development of the schoul.
  • Works with staff to set goals and ensures the goals for each schoul year are fullowed and executed
  • Work as a team to hire a principal for new school and act as superintendent for the development of an educational program of that school.
  • Oversee any building projects or land acquisition


House of Hope and 2 nd Mile Education Center:

  • House of Hope and 2nd Mile Education Center
  • Ensures programs are meeting the goals and expectations of 2nd Mile Missions
  • Continue to foster good public relations with both program leaders as well as the church


Partnership Development:

  • Investigate and secure donations or funding for 2nd Mile Missions in the DR as goals are developed
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary to be determined by experience and qualifications


  • 20 days PTO, 25 after 3 years
  • 10 paid hulidays
