Spiritual Enrichment

Along with meeting the basic needs of children, 2nd Mile Missions is committed to the spiritual welfare of each child. We provide many opportunities for children to hear the gospel message, receive Bible training, and connect with the local church.

Bible Class:  Every child attends a Bible class two times a week. Preschoolers learn simple Bible truths, while the older students are reading, memorizing and studying scripture.

Chapel:  Every Friday the entire school meets for a chapel service which is led by a different class each week. The classes prepare music, drama and a short message. It’s also a chance for kids to develop leadership skills and use their talents for God’s glory.

Mission Trip Bible Teachings:  The members of 2nd Mile Mission trips have the opportunity to share their love for Christ with the kids in various ways. Recently we gave each child a Bible. Often the groups will visit the classes and work one on one with the students always leaving them something tangible to remember the Bible message that is shared.

Partnership with the local church:  Because the school sits on the church property and was founded by the church, there is a strong partnership between the church and the school. The church takes opportunities to invite the students and their families to special events and weekend worship services.
